All of this is new... And they decided to send my 404 traffic to sites I've never heard of. I'm not sure if this is a mistake or they are about to go out of biz and are just trying to make a few more $$$ before they call it quits. I find this a little disturbing...
any thoughts?

Yes I paid for the script... and yes I've contacted them. And no I haven't heard anything back yet. Anyone using the x-3 trade script reading this should check their .htaccess file right now. There's an other report of this happening to someone else on the GFY board.

Well i use it and they aint get me so thats why i asked. Dont sound like somthing they would do especially when some really big guys use X3 scripts..

I replied to your email you sent us last night, this morning when I got into the office. I explained what happened in the email, but I will explain it here too so everyone can know:

I appoligize for this. Part of the patch is htaccess rewrite rules that ban
different types of bots from hitting the script/site. I had one of our
programmers, john install the upgrade and I told him to grab the .htaccess
file we had on one of our sites. He didn't realize the 404 line was in there
and neither did I. Again I am truly sorry this was a mistake on our part and
was not intentional.

We have only installed this patch for 3 people so far. I installed it for the first person and John (our new programmer) installed it on the second two. (you and cumdojo). He made this mistake on both installs. He is now aware of the problem and it won't happen again.
