View Full Version : European ISPS
Hi folks,
I'm heading off to Europe tommorrow, and since I couldn't find an ATT Worldnet access number for the UK or Netherlands, I was wondering if any of you from those countries either know of a free ISP or if maybe ATT does have access numbers there and I just can't find them..
Thanks,
Rich

Personally, I keep a Compuserve account (AOL works too) for roaming. They (both) have access pretty much everywhere.
If you don't want to pay even the minimum monthly sub, join for the free period and cencel when your trip is over...
Here's a list of free providers in Holland

How long are you in the uk for?
We've got "free" isps, but you have to pay for the phone costs.. and we have "unmetered" isps, where you pay say £15/month and get unlimited free call access to the net.
For £15/month, check out www.btinternet.com. (http://www.btinternet.com.)
I use them at the moment, and am happy with them.
Rich.
Thanks guys!
Richard, I'll be in London from the 17th to 19th, then Amsterdam from 19 to 24, then back to London from 24 to 26...
Just enought time for my friends who are watching my place and dog to trash it...hehe

www.uk2.net (http://www.uk2.net) offer a very simple dialup service, you have to pay for the call though.
I think its something like 5p/minute peak (7am-7pm) and 2pm off-peak or something.
If you're just logging on to check mail, then use uk2, if you are staying online for long periods of time, during the day, then perhaps getting an account with btinternet or something would be cheaper.
