I am currently looking for a new host for www.t35.com (http://www.t35.com) domain. Together with my free hosting network on it, and other sites, it gets 200,000-300,000 impressions/day. And uses 70+ gigs of banwith /month. I really need to find a new host, because my current one is too expensive. I am even thinking of getting 1.5 MBS SDSL and hosting it from my house. Any ideas of cheap hosts? And is a dedicated raq 3/4 a possibility, or they are too unstable? Also, i am selling exit traffic from my sites. E-mail me at webmaster@t35.com for more info.

I have been a system administrator for over 3 years now. I know this shit better then alphabet. You canot put a 200,000 site on a adsl off of pc. If you read up on networking you would see hosting your site off of a adsl at least a site that large is a joke. On a office which has webservers , there is approximately 50,000+ dollars of hardware. (Router, switch, etc... etc..). So as you would probebly see this is a joke.

Bussiness DSL is reliable, its a garanteed 24/7 connection, well at least the DSL here, were i live..And i have 4 decently new computers in my house doing nothing, that can be set up to run 24/7.. But i guess with the hits i get, and at the level my sites are growing it won't work out. And i don't make enough to get a dedicated server, because i don't use porn sponsors or anything like that. So i wind up getting paid only like 20% of the time.. The rest of the times the sponsors screw me..

Well if you use sponsors which don't allow warez/mp3 you're screwing them not vice versa.
SDSL or ADSL or whichever type of DSL is not capable of hosting sites. You simply can't host a website on a modem since the modem hasn't been constructed to servce a server but to surf with it.
You can host a nice design site or something on SDSL but no high traffic site + you won't find a serious business using SDSL instead of a leased line.

besides t35.com is not a good site anymore.. other topsites like mine www.qualitywarez.com (http://www.qualitywarez.com) and my pal wareznetwork.com have taken over the warez toplist scene.. so u should go ahead and take down t35.com

I'm running several dedicated servers but this one I'm typing on right now is a classic. BTW I'm on vacation..

You don't need to spend $50,000 if you're in the right area and you know what you're doing. In my area Southern CA you can do an awesome home server setup dirt cheap. It's a 3Mbps duplex wireless setup. It's hooked to my Athlon 1Ghz server. No telco charges. If I use the entire 3Mpbs 24 hours a day it's $900 a month max. for all the bandwidth.

You could do the entire server setup for $1,500 to $2,000 with a PIII 800. that's server, wireless link, NIC, everything! You don't need to spend $50,000 for switches, hubs, routers, etc,. They already have wireless equipment that does 155Mbps if your needs grow.

Well now i do use about 70 gigs.. you can ask simon.. Although one day, when a porn site joined my hosting, it looked like i was going to use 200 gigs/month http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif .And my current impressions / day is over 200,000/day. But most of my images, even the pop-up i put on the hosting member pages, is hosted on other servers, freebox, etc..
