I've not been terribly thrilled with the desktop. First, I've never been able to convince it not to produce it's own thumbs (despite following the instructions and a few suggestions from the author). I like making my own thumbs (well, I don't like it, but I make more money that way :-).
Second, the user interface is a little cumbersome still.
Third, I've got a lot of sites that seem to fail on submitting to that work fine with the server version -- for example, almost any TGPM site. Not sure why; I can submit to them manually, so it's probably not my IP address.
Fourth, it means having a window that's open for what seems like forever while it submits, while the server version is fire and forget.
I think it's eventually going to settle out into a nice product, it's just not nearly as mature as the server version yet.
My $0.02 :-)

Does desktop and pro version come together. I bought pro, but it seems as if I could use the desktop as well???
Just wondering. I've never tried the desktop version.

At least for awhile, you could exchange your pro activation code for a desktop one -- not sure if you still can or not. The code is what you need to allow it to update the TGP list.
