what is the best alternative to blogger/blogspot?
dont get me wrong i love the user friendly blog but they shut down my blogs after i start building up traffic !
Thumblogger.com has been the leading free adult blog host for many years...
It can be a bit clunky and slow a times - and some folks don't like the link to AFF - but to get you up and running it's OK...

I couldn't get a hold of anyone at Thumbblogger.
I too use blogger, and I love it, but I'm wary about the long term longevity of my sites on it's platform. I keep hearing that using Wordpress independently is the best option, but I can't confirm that.
I back up my posts often "just" in case and also host my sites with GoDaddy so that they don't get stuck in a Google vacuum should they decide to shut them down out of nowhere some day.
I got banned from blogger - or "blogspot" as it was called at the start lol...
They introduced this stupid bar at the top of your blog to click on to the next blog...
I contacted them and said I was unhappy as this meant kids for instance would go from a kids blog direct to hardcore - or moms looking at jam recipes would suddenly find themselves staring at shemales lol...
They ignored me - so I googled how to remove it...
A few months later Google bought them out and I was banned...
That was very very expensive lol...
As for wordpress.com (hosted by them) - I know folks use it for softcore but they do shut you down...
Best bet is a decent host (all pretty cheap these days) and set up your own hosted wordpress blog...
It too can be heavy and clunky - but it's the tool of choice for 99% of adult bloggers...
Free hosted blogs are useful for certain things but are not to be relied on as the foundation of your online business IMHO...:)
As for contacting Twan - the owner of Thumblogger - he's been hard to pin down for a while...
Not sure on the protocol for other forums here so just Google TB's forum and get him there lol...

I recommend WordPress, if you're serious at building a blog and earning from it then use WP. I also love the plugins that you can just install to improve its performance.

A lot of people feel that Wordpress is better than Blogger on its own, so I'd say it's the best alternative.

I have 3 blogspot blogs so I personally like blogspot. My friends have lots of Word Press blogs. I also loved the options, both are beneficial for its properties.
