Could you please send me the names of the contacts you had at Sexhound and the sites that you run? I'm a mix of feelings right now but many of them border on disgrace and dissappointment.

In case we haven't met -- I manage the marketers you are having a problem with. From all of the positive responses I hear from the webmasters they deal with I would have never in a million fucking years guessed that they were mistreating any body.

As for the Free Host. Large => popular => best available. logic is fun.

Do you run a free host? Are you suggesting we run it like Sexspaces and use 1/3 of each and every page for advertisements? That would turn the newbie's page into a real eye sore - - talk about a disservice!

I CANNOT believe the actions here..... I too was contacted by one of these guys..... I allowed myself to be befriended by one of them..... I was very adamant about not using their hosting because of the redirects... I did however agree to put one counter on one page of my site...... I strongly believe and still do even after this shit, that people deserve a second chance. I went to bat telling others they were trying.... HA!!! I agreed to tell him why people hated them so bad, what webmasters in general were saying about their service..... I went way out of my way to help and give them tips on what they could do to gain respect back....

Well, well, well... imagine my shock and surprise one day when I am told by a very very dear friend of mine that he has been contacted by these people at MY referrel.... This was a crock... I never referred them to any one in particular.... THEN to make matter worse... they contact another very dear friend of mine and tell him that I am the one running his name thru the mud by giving out info that is not my place to give out..... These two friends know who I speak of here.... they know and so do I... so no names here, if they want to say who they are, that's their deal.

HOWEVER to use me to get to these other two people was not only cruel but a very nasty business move in my opinion..... bombarding people and trashing others to get what you want is not a good move, business or personal.... it's just a shitty way to live your life in my opinion. And they used me BIG... probably more so than they did with any of you guys..... a couple of you know what I am saying here..... It saddens me greatly to see what they have done to me as well as my friends, makes me feel like shit because it has hindered a friendship that I have that I valued greatly.

I never used sexhound, because they they were prominantly linked with a lot of Russian CP sites. The only counter I use is cash-count, cause they pay for the traffic they take.

Things must be tough for counters for them to redirect basic searches - it is only a modest return on the large amount of traffic that must be sent to those counters.

When I started a long time ago in this business i actually tried Sexhound and their freehosting...hahahahaha.

I knew some majojr webmasters and they helped me with traffic in the beginning and at some point I had 40k coming in at my sexhound freesite. Suddenly it was GONE. I saw 40k go to sexhounds sponsors and when I mailed them about this they of course didn't reply.

So (as the newbie I still concidered myself to be) I tried again. 20k and the same happende. Then i kinda knew I was getting screwed.

Please Brett, let's get real. The mainpage of Sexhound pulls substantialy more traffic than my lobby. You cannot bullshit me.

That may be Brett, however, that is because you're looking at high-volume sites stats.
These guys demand a hell of a lot more traffic from you than from me because your service has little or no value for them.
But what about the Tam's and the little guy's, what do you do for them...bury their listing amidst a sea of CP? Do you look at their stats?

Lesson #1 for Brett:
DO NOT LOOK AT STATS THAT ARE NOT YOUR OWN! Stats are confidential information, Sexlist has (and alway had) a policy of not viewing stats without written or verbal consent from a the webmaster. I wonder why the (President!) of Marketing is viewing stats that are not his own. I view this as a fundamental abuse of the data webmasters have entrusted you with.

Very well put Ruin...... and on behalf of us little guys, let me be the one to tell you that I am so grateful for my listing at Sexlist...... As much as I like to run with the bigdogs, my site is still fairly small.... but I have been able to at ANY given time.... and have done it when I get bored or just want to see my site in lights... http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif , gone to these places to see if I can find my listing...... and there is not any given time when I go to Sexlist and find my site.... in the Amateurs Section where I listed it when I signed up.

I just checked, Sexlist is #12 on my list of top 100 referrers in my stats....... so for anyone who even begins to try and tell you, Ruin, that Sexlist, do not send them traffic... tell them to come and talk to me...... give them my ICQ number, I know you have it..... give it to them, I'll be more than happy to set them straight on that issue.


Sexhound..... Ruin and Sexlist are very very special to me, and would you like to know why this is? Because they treat their Webmasters, even the small ones like me, with NOTHING but respect and decency..... I have every one of them on my ICQ list and have NEVER at any point been treated with anything but respect from those guys. I have never been made to feel like I have to measure up to The Hun or JJJ or Ampland or any of those big guy where Sexlist is concerned. This in no way is meant as any disrespect to those guys, I am just making a point here..... I have never been told by Sexlist where to put my counter.... Take this from a small scale webmaster baby.... and I am sure this can be said for the large scale ones as well.... Treat your webmasters with the respect they have earned and don't harrass or threaten them and you just may be able to win some respect back. Actions speak way louder than words, sweetie. I am hoping that they arn't posting here anymore because they wanted to do help Sexhound for a change. Those boys posting here and constantly arguing was only hurting their cause, not helping it. It's about time they realized that staying away and letting things die down was in their best interest.

A few reasons why I wont/dont use them.

1) FACT!!!! I have tracked every counter
using mkstats to their stats. Why did I
do this? I own a webmaster resource site,
3 free hosts, 3 paysites, 1 CJ site, 1
TGP, around 100 small traffic pulling
sites, and my own Dr Pepper machine.

Basicly the tracking sucks say compaired to
SexTracker. SexHounds stats over 4 days
went from as high as 15,000 hits OVER to
40,000 hits UNDER (and yes that was the new
SexHound)

SexTracker never went over, and cut under
by a very very slim mark.

2) Main page takes away hits from the
list. Yes SexList does basicly the same
thing but no where near where sexhound does
but then again SexList offers a totally
different type of stats sysytem.

Search does 200,000 searchs a day, My
SMALLEST free host has a search the
hole free host gets around 60k uniques
and around 360,000 searchs a day. BTW
FREE and PICTURES are #1 and #2 searches.
So 200,000 (RAW) searchs isnt bad, but
200,000 searchs from 200,000 UNIQUE visitors
would probally get a responce.

FreeHost - Not having banners up at the
top of your page for say like SexSpaces,
porn city, SexRanks, Pornbillboard,
Sexvillage AKA ErosVillage which I used to own tells me not that you offer quality.
Quality in a free host has NOTHING to do
with the banners at the top. NOTHING at
all - (well unless they take over the hole page) but has everything to do with SPEED, webmaster resources, help centers, Q and A,
quality of customer support. Which to
be honest puts SexSpaces right near the top
with a few others.

ICQing people,

I remember back in the day when ST came
on ICQ and asked people to join their counter
but I do remember 1 factor, "Try us, if you
dont like us within 24 hours remove us"

I got 2 messages from them
1) Hello, Im ***** from SexTracker.com
wondering if you would be interested in
trying/testing our new adult counter.
Send me a message if you are interested
we are not guaranteeing anything but
mabey some quality.

My message to him was - Wathca got?

2) Said all he ask is you try it and if
I dont like it after 24 hours then delete it
from my page. If you dont wish to place
the counter on your site then that is ok
I understand.

I placed the counter as a test to see how
the stats worked - and havent removed the
same counter code in 2 years.

Business -
Messaging people for business to me is
fine, hell we all do it when we open a
new site.

But sexhound didnt open a new site, just
probally rewrote some ASP software crap
on a page that looks to be designed by
a newbie HTML designer. Table role overs
are bad on the site.

Sexhound never tried to force out more hits
to webmasters by cleaning up the main page,
really dont offer a tracking system that
is that great - doesnt help they use windows
based servers - and basicly the tact they
used on this board just supports how the
business is really run behind the green door.

SexHound - Try bring in Unix based servers
I hear FREEbsd is pretty strong.
Clean up the main page, try something like
sextracker, xxxcounter, (the adult counter
stanards) by doing so you might goto 300,000
searchs a day and pick up a few more webmaster links on the way. You dont have
to GIVE stuff away, t-shirts, extra links,
and stuff when you know your offering quality.

And one more thing that has me going.

Telling Smity to do something other than
CJ sites.

Well, SexHound - That is like telling you
guys to give up and do something other than
counters. We probally dont know what you
guys do and you sure dont know what smitty
does. Don't slam friends, or MY cj world,
or the favor returns like it has.
