Hi,

look at it like this:

Most newbies try to make the money for a real script with a free/cheap script.

So, in this case you need to make $1200 in a reasonable time. Lets say you are able to do that in 8 weeks with one of the free scripts.

Now, in the same 8 weeks with the same affords you put in this venture you would be able to make lets say $2400, so infact the "free script" would cost you another $1200.

Now you might ask why I make the double $ in the same amount of time?
Ask yourself why UCJ-C costs $1200....!

Just 2 reasons:

1. the scripts "trading intelligence" is much better, so you "invest" your outgoing traffic much better.

2. veterans take you much more serious with a script that you have paid for. i.e. better ratios.

And UCJ-C 3 with version 4 in the pipe for $1200 is cheap.

Sounds like a sales pitch, but its the same I told a friend of my "real" life just last week.

Dan, even if i like your idea about paying for the scripts, still have to disagree... I wrote my script 1-2 months ago and i earned $5000 on my CJ sites last month. Of course im planning to acquire some good and fast script like blindio or ucj, but $1200 or $2K still dont look cheap to me and i will only buy them when my own perl script cant handle the traffic i get. So free UCJ or something like that might be a good idea for a start (especially if you are not sure your gonna stay in this bizz for long.) Plus getting an expensive script dont really mean that you are gonna get more traffic. I seen people with UCJ3 having 1500 hits per day and i dont think they are glad they bought it

this guy is a newbie most probably (hey no offence) and he aint got the $$$ and what i think is that he has no idea what CJ is...

now im not any bigger jerk than him (right now workin on it http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif ) and maybe my opinion is a piece of shit here but heres what i can tell ya:
maybe he's a decent webmaster makin himself a good buck for livin and maybe he decided to try himself in CJing. And hey thats a good idea he never had a CJ site and he wants to try it out. He posts a question here on the board about what script he should get: YES ALL THE BIG JERK GUYS WOULD CHEER "THE MORE EXPENCIVE THE BETTER... ".
Ok he buys blindio for $2K. And in 2 days having blindio he realizes that CJ traffic is no good and that he should better start a paysite. What will you offer then? He aint gonna throw away the $2k script but on the other hand hes got nothing else to do.

SO he throws it away and looses $2K or he stays. Now imagine a CJ webmaster that doesnt like the idea of CJ... Do you think he will do any good things to you or anyone on the comunity? He stays because hes got no other choice! He tries to get as many $$$ as possible with no efforts! And after all when hes had enough of the shit, he will start cheating from dipair...

and you can never know, maybe the guy regrets spending $2K so much that he shoots himself a bullet in the head next morning and then his wife is gonna blame YOU!

So why not start with UCJ 1.3 for a beggining and keep the wife and kids happy?

If your newbie wants to start a site, put up a page with blind links to other CJ sites, hard perms.

get some TGP traffic to the site, voila.

He will soon realise he has no control as to which sites are sedning what, who he is sending the most to, and which links are the most clicky.

It'll cost him $2000 if he wants to know that info.

I agreee whole heartedly. If you paid $2k for cgi, only to then throw it in the garbage is psycotic. I'm sure you could find some other use for it.

Managing your hits down to a single click isn't some thing many people can do, with out a tool such as a CJ script.

No i am not a newbie i have been in the industry for a year and a half Im just expanding my shit now I run a paysite and a TGP and a Toplist . I also run A few succesfully AVS sites Right now i am working on my one website to make it a Traffic resource for the honest webmasters.

Simply i am expirementing with the CJ and if i like it i will get a good script if i dont i will kill my CJ project.

I also host everything from a server in my basement.

Oscer, you really should take what these guys say with a grain of salt. You can run a successful cj site without ever interacting with a single person on this board. There are lots of cj webmasters that probably don't even know this bbs exists.

If you check the posts back for a few weeks, you will see some of these people just have it in for anybody they consider a "newbie". Others just like to mess around with people. In the end, none of it means anything. If you want to start a cj site with a free script, no one is stopping you, and you will find plenty of trades.

IMHO, however, you should take richard's advice and make a hardcoded cj page. That's how I got started, and it worked great for me. Just sign up with several big cj sites, and give them perm. links on your cj page. Don't forget to send in outside traffic (tgp traffic works well).

And to the people on this board that enjoy attacking newbies:
This board can be a place where we teach newbies how to do this business right. Show them what is cheating and how to bring new traffic into the circle. If we continue to chase off every newbie that wanders into this bbs, these new webmasters will not understand this business very well. As a result, we will have more "newbie mistakes" and new cj sites entering the circle without bringing traffic.

Anyway, sorry for the serious tone, but I don't want trades opening my link in an exit window and telling me it's a newbie mistake. Let's use this board to teach them up front instead of chasing them off to learn for themselves!
