normaly if buy a cd from an internet content broker it's just for use on web sites but it depends what it says on your licence. of course you can by exclusive rights for a cd if you have lots of cash then you can do what the fuck you want

If you have to ask if its legal, chances are it isn't. In this case, its probably not legal. Think of it, your taking content you buy and want to give it free. The only exception I can think of to this, is that the seller gives you the license and rights to do anything with the images. Not many will ever do this unless your the one taking the photos.

Only if you have the exclusive rights on the photos you can do what ever you want, but this means a lot $$$. You have to think twice before doing such an investment if you can still profit from the cd-roms

The minute you upload them to a webhost you are breaking the law unless your webhost is based in Yugoslavia but then if the license owners are really pissed they can go after your host and get them blacklisted (not that difficult) from the different backbone net providers such as Ebone, UUnet, TeleGlobe etc. etc. Then you would have your pictures on a webserver but there would be no hole to the net from that webserver.
Or you can try a lot of different US webhosts and get your ASS booted all the time.
