Hello customers,
As you know, our US office and much of our dialer distribution servers are
located 2 blocks from ground zero of the WTC disaster. Everyone from GIB is
safe - although we had many close calls and are still in a complete state of
shock. (I boarded a train head for the WTC at 8:22 a.m. but thankfully was
evacuated after the first plane hit the towers) Never in my wildest
imagination would I ever think this could happen - NY looks like a war zone
from hell. We have been affected in so many ways - it is impossible to
fully describe.
Regarding our current situation with our dialers -
The power has been shut down in lower Manhattan so our distribution servers
in NY cannot be accessed and we are not allowed to get into the building.
With tremendous help from AT&T we have also re-routed our USA calls away
from our server in downtown NYC to another location in a different part of
the country. Furthermore, the ISP in NYC that served dialers out of NY has
also completely gone down at this point. Our building did not sustain
structural damage and is sadly being used as a makeshift morgue due to the
fact it is so close ot ground zero and is not in danger of collapsing.
We have been working day and night to come up with a solution which does not
rely on any equipment in NY - this has been completed.
All VIPDIALER and GIB customers should be using this link - the others links will NOT WORK
PROPERLY.
Customers should use this link, download the .exe and host it themsleves
that is also fine.
