It's a good prosject I supported alot before, but I hear they lease CPU power to outsiders instead of using it all for research?

Does it matter about connection speed :)

I was using that for a while, but my poor little comp just couldn't handle it and winamp locked frequently..
In my life Music always comes before ExtraTerrestial Intelligence.. :)

i don't think you have to worry about spying in this case. Unfortunatelly, my poor 56k connection doesnt allow me for such "waste" of speed. Even the slightest kb makes difference. Barkley's name gurantees the importance of such project. I'm sure it's not one of those silly things going on through time. Afterall, seti is not something new.

ummm seti is not about connection speed.

download takes less than 2 minutes for a work unit and your comp will work 6-12 hrs on it.
and dont worry, it only uses unused cpu-power, so it doesnt really make a difference if you run it or not ;)

its a great project in my opinion and I have my old "winamp"-comp running it nearly all the time.
