here is a story about a sponsor... i don't want to say their name because this would be un-ethical (IMHO)...

me and my ex-partner send to one of it's paysites lots of tgp traffic. it used to convert like 1:120 some weeks ago. however, this month is an extremely interesting one...

we have separate accounts (because we don't work together anymore). we send SIMILIAR number of hits, the SAME quality of traffic and use COMMON textlinks. however, he converts 1:140 and i - 1:800 http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

don't think that i am jealous - i'm not - i found a nice comfy place for my hits at another place.

i can find no explanation for that extremely big difference in conversions. following holme's logic, when you exclude all possible causes, the last remaining should be the real one.

this (and many other sponsors) is shaving heavily. however, they don't worry to do so because they can always talk bullsh*t like "various sources for traffic, various advertising techniques, etc". but in this very situation i wonder what can they come up with.

ever wondered why do ALL sponsors forbid you to have more than 1 account? http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

i won't tell you their name because this might get him and me thrown out. i just want you to know of this story...

pr0view,

Not saying you're wrong in your particular case, BUT:

Shit happens. I see that kind of stuff with my own traffic to my own paysites http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif Traffic is funny like that. BTW, every sponsor will let you open as many accounts as you like if you make them decent money http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Al - you might be right... however, i have seen too many traffic fluctuations here and there that prove my theory... but i can never be sure what the reason is and that's why i didn't state the sponsor name - after all, claiming things that you can't prove is un-ethical http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

thanks for your input

A reason why a sponsor won't let you open 2 accounts could be for tax purposes - just an educated guess.
