check out http://www.zfreehost.com/ Brand new freehost, really really fast, banner free forever (not until a certain day), all they do is take your 404. Free domain hosting also. Has Both FTP and Web Upload... I like em.

Taking only 404 does not seem profitable unless they intentionally 404 all your shit all the time so i would not trust that one to much.

Toker, I doubt it, the support for this is really good, I doubt they could get away with it with their support keeping as good PR as they are...
