Hi, i'm looking for some software that will reduce the file size of MPEG movies. I don't mind if dimension size or pic quality is effected. At the moment my 300k-400k movies go for 3-4 seconds and I want to stretch that out to 8-10 seconds.
Also, when submitting movie galleries, am I better off submitting to the movie category at TGPs, or is the traffic quality of dedicated "Movie posts" like vidsvidsvids.com better??
Thanks

okay, first off, I run http://mogulteam.com/ and it consists of a group of webmasters that are devoted primarily with movie content.
As far as reducing the size of the clips, I think probably most if not all members are using vdub1.3c nothing later, nothing older.
As far as submitting movies to TGPs I consider that the same as selling microwave ovens to tribes in the Amazon rain forest. With movies, your target market is the surfer with broadband capability. Those surfers, for the most part are not going to TGPs, but MGPs.
We happen to have a submit tool for submitting movie galleries to MGPs which can be found at http://moviecommander.com
There is a ton more that I could say, and resources I could list, but do not want to be accussed of spamming, so the two links I have provided should get you on a good start for the info you seek.
