One of our sites have dropped almost 35% of its traffic now during Christmas. But good part is that after Christmas, when everyone plugs in their new computers, etc, the traffic will increase by upto 20-30%. So it's worth the short time it's decreased.

Best as I remember, it usually takes as much as 2-4 weeks before X-mas effect. It's had less and less of an effect from year to year for the last 4 years.

Once students get back to school,etc.

I think last year, it was less than 20% for my adult stuff, but more than 50% for non adult.

my hits traffic came back up today averaging almost 30%!!!!

CowboyS, yes I did see it personally last year. I was actually referring to last year.
It was even higher numbers the year before that though.
