notice how he somehow manages to say that he wants to get rid of online obsenity because our kids are subjected to child porn? i love the way politicians use CP to make it sound like our industry is bad for children.

its like CP is a political buzzword, and they just throw that in because they know that nobody in their right mind would vote against something that gets rid of CP. i think that's just as wrong as selling the shit... because the politicians take advantage of the existance of CP to push their own little agendas.

just my 2 cents http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I couldn't agree with you more, god knows that most of the people who compain, compleatly fail to take a look at what's out there.

The bulk of the industry, are legit adult oriented sites, which by all curent laws are 100% legal.

No, because they will make the law to include "publication". If they follow the UK's example, FTP or other electronic transmission will be deemed as publication.

So then you get the content provider in Holland to upload it for you..

How they can stop a legal site in holland being downloaded by a surfer in the US beats me.

Different countries have different laws, how can one impose their laws on another?

if theyre gonna try & take on the porn industry, fine. i just wish they'd separate the CP crusade.

its two completely separate things!

To the average outsider, it probably doesn't appear to be two separate things. Why?
I reckon its due to the use of certain words in descriptions used by a large proportion of CJ sites. Can you say Lolita? To anyone stumbling across the adult side of the net, it would appear to be full of CP http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

Self inflicted...

Well guess what we are the voices and we need to speak out or we will never get our word in. If you are against the governments actions then you can bet some surfer is going to feel the same way.

So now you may wonder how do i fight these politicians fucks?

The same fuckin way napster did voice the issues at hand on your sites.

If you run a pay site you can ask.. that members write to their politicians and bitch in your favor. Fill them with the big picture and maybe stuff them with some BS also about how much more it will cost them and how it will affect them as surfers.

Play on the surfers political stupidity..
