Is this software working - lastest version 1.03 - ????
When I tried to use it some 3 months ago when I tried to enter my CID numer - I received - Uknown server error mgsg - which sucked.
I gave up using this soft. Now at the end od december I tried it again - now - after I enter my CID number i get "Connection to the server failed" msg - which sucks ! http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

What is going on with sextracker ? - I reported the problem a few times and received mails that everything should be ok now.....but as I can see it is not http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

Maybe it is time to review that soft and the way it works ?
Or maybe it doesnt work on windows 2000 ???

Yes, I know - I use HitBox on other sites - but Hitbox stopped ranking the adult sites :-) - and thus you dont have any traffic from them

I does that sometimes, just try again later
the same day until you get it to retrieve
your settings, then close the executive and
start it again - now it should remember your
counter.

Sometimes it wont update for a couple of
hours, it does that 2-3 times a week for me,
but when it comes back up it seems to have
tracked hits anyway.

I also remember that when I used ISDN with
a router it would fuck up constantly.

It's weird that my sextracker counter tracked 6k hits today and my paycounter tracked 12k...

Which one should I trust?

My cjpro stats showed 9800 hits
...

Hey,

I would only trust my server logs, all
counters are way off, but try to compare
your two counter's stats, with your server
logs, the one that are consistantly closer
would be the most accurate.

I only have a counter up so people can check how many hits I
roughly have, and also so I can get an
approx. stat without having to process
my entire log more than once a day, those

I have a few sites all getting 20 to 30k a day, and if I put 4 different counters on one page, they all will show radically different numbers. Not just a few off, but several thousand off.

Definitely get your stats from your own server. There is a stats program I use that is free called AX. Stick that bitch in your cgi-bin, slap on a small SSI tag and your good to go.

But if you relying on the counter ranking for traffic, I dont know what to tell you. 3rd party counter stats suck. http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
Does anyone actually get much traffic off a counter anyway? I use XXXCounter to count impressions for the hell of it, its in the top 3 in its category and that only brings in around 300 to 400 hits per day. Granted, 300 or 400 hits I wouldnt have otherwise.

ssi or anything else needed, it does NCSA or W3SWC
compliant logs (Unix/NT)

if you can get a script that tracks using
an img tag (AXX does that I think) and writes
NSCA logs, then you could just call it from
the img tag on the freehost...
