man that sucks ...
I had this shit once too, and I just had to delete some weird file in my windows startup folder ...

My guess is, check that startup folder and see if you notice something that shouldn't be there http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

You have to spit trough your register and delete the right key.

Look in the startup autoexec.bat for start or run line commands that pont to another .bat file. After that look for a new .bat or .reg file that is used to create the process. The startup could also be calling one of these files but there are many more ways to do it.

I would sugest running msconfig and check the startup list. It's probably a program ruuning there, and you can see its path.

Try to launch regedit and look in:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Run

Check if you see anything suspicious there.

Also with notepad, open win.ini (windows
folder) and check 'load' and 'run' entries
in the 'windows' section for anything
suspicious.

When you are looking for the file or
program, remember to set your preferences
in 'my computer' to show all files, these
files are useually set to 'hidden'

If you cant find the source that is causing
this, try to make your bookmark folder read
only (in msie this is the favorites folder)
that may be able to stop it.
