hi!
i'm new and don't know anything about cgi scripts. but i downloaded the free CJPRO version and installed it on a test page at http://www.celebvideocollection.com/toplist/index.html.
now i want to know, what url my links must have. i linked them to http://www.celebvideocollection.com/cgi-bin/cjpro/cjproout.cgi? , but everytime i click on the link, it leads to my auxout url (bonus url). i signed up at my test site and put the user name behind the url, but it still links to my bonus url.

could you please tell me how to do that right?

second question: is there a chance to create with this free script something like a toplist (like www.giantmovies.com) (http://www.giantmovies.com)) ?

thanks in advance for your replies!!!

Never ever looked at that script i don't think, but have you got sites in the DB to use?

I mean, if there were no sites in there to send links to, then it would send to the default place correct?

You probably didn't configure the cjproconfigure.cgi file correctly.

... first , you have to check all the server settings - permissions(CHMODs), directories and the cgi files (all the urls and paths)
than make trades with few cj sites around and they MUST appear in your admin.cgi page in your database, if not, there is somethin' wrong with the script....
and i think your site(script) must receive few hits to start send it back ...

i got it!

the problem was, that only one site was in my database. and because i was a unique visitor on my site, i didn't come to the site i already clicked one time. so i got to the bonus site...

thank you all and sorry for my stupid question!

i will launch the site in a few days, when my new domain will be set up.

everybody who wants to trade - mail me!

oh..i have had another question:

is there a chance to make a toplist with this script? like www.giantmovies.com (http://www.giantmovies.com) does.

the more hits i get, the better the link will be for the site...
is it possible?

Hi Stain,

There's no toplist functionality built into the free version.

(I've never seen the paid version and don't use either, but I think its a fine script.)

...anyway stain you HAVE to have some initial traffic(about 10-15k minimum) on the site to revert it into topsite

sure i must have traffic.
my domain www.xxxmoviecentral.com (http://www.xxxmoviecentral.com) will be set up til monday i hope. and then i will put it on my server. with my other sites i'm able to send out 10k to the new site. so there will be no problem to let this site grow http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/redface.gif)

Melchior,

Don't you have other things to do than bumping for 3 year old threads?
