The receiver has issued the following statement and has asked me to pass it along. Thanks, RB
R.J.B. Telcom, Inc. (R.J.B.) is in a dispute involving contractual issues. The issues are complex and too involved to meaningfully discuss in the short time we have to communicate with you. In essence, R.J.B. has petitioned the Court requesting the Court to resolve this dispute and permit business as usual until a further hearing of the Court scheduled for December 7, 2000. The Temporary Receiver will be filing papers with the Court, which also request that business continue as usual.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled in the United States District Court on Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at 4:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. It is the hope of R.J.B. and the Temporary Receiver that the dispute will be resolved.
Due to this dispute, we are unable to pay our Max Cash webmasters today as previously scheduled. We sincerely apologize. We will have more information on this situation early next week.
The Temporary Receiver is aware that some prior payments to webmasters were not honored by R.J.B.'s bank due to the asset freeze. The bank was not willing to selectively clear checks, as requested by the Temporary Receiver. The Temporary Receiver will also deal with this issue after next Tuesday's Court hearing.
