I just had some yutz send me a url on icq, and he gave me the passcodes to a pay site. He called me by someone else's name, leading me to believe that it was a mistake. Okay, so I get curious, and click the link to the paysite, entered the codes he gives me, and WHAM!....I am about to be connected to a dialer program.
I cancelled the connection of course, but is this the kind of tactics that people are starting to employ to make dialer bucks? A couple of my webmaster buddies have had the same thing tried on them too, am I surprised? (should I be?) My 1st reaction was that this is a low-down dirty trick to play on people, am I out to lunch on that?
Let me know what you all think of this dialer tactic.
