Foots,<br /><br />Sorry if this is in the wrong forum. I didn't touch the dialer and I want the CEO of the dialer which these fucks are using to cancel their account. AOL will sue the dialer if they won't.

ok i got news for you people for those who don't know allready. Most of these instant message spammers are using Aol's protocol without using the shitty aol client thse IM spammer's require hundreds of accounts a day when code leaked on how to sign on to the service without the client software things got out of hand. back to the topic now, the protcol there using is from a older version of AOL (version2.5) which the password an username is printed in plain text in the packets as of march 19th Aol will disable all forms of chatting on all versions of AOL from version 2.5 to 3.0 32bit this will not stop the im spamm due to more leaked code to signon newer version which the login is encrypted but it will slow it down since only a few can do this hope this helps all of you guys. alot of people abuse this method of getting connect to aol to make stupid ass programs to scroll in chat room's an to spam as we all have seen allready if you ever go on aol.

ceramic,<br /><br />These are not AIM spams these are AOL member spams. That's why AOL should be killing these accounts and I don't understand why they aren't.<br /><br />TwinTone ,<br /><br />Why thank you very much for your encouraging comments. I assume that bc. I use AOL at some capacity makes me a loser and a retarded user of the Internet. Next are you going to hurt to call me a Lamer? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="biggrin.gif" />

They don't term the accounts because most of them are phish. And you're almost as bad as they are posting every damn message you get to the board. Personally I'd gladly call you a lamer, but then I'd sound like some idiot that used AOL.

jester if you read my post i detailed how they are spamming so fast an on so many accounts i also stated that there using THE AOL PROTOCOL an not the Toc protocol there's a big difference so thank you for reading my post <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="mad.gif" /> <br /><br />agentcash it's not cuase they are hijacked account's it's just that there to many complaint's of spam takes time to get to that one that just spammed you an aol members are on the bottom of there list. ceo of aol is just a white dumbass that wishes he was bill gates i guess that why he is sueing him in the anti trust case, it's odd though steve case is being a monoply himself bought icq, winamp, netscape an force aol as your default browser which uses IE someone needs to sue aol/time warner for being a monoply of ISP's. An aol always some how gets off the hook in court so i think steve case gives major rim job's daily to people in high places.

ceramic,<br /><br />I did read your post and appreciate it. I thought you said AIM spammers. Anyway, the best way to get them to stop is to cut the money supply.

ceramic
03-19-2002, 01:49 AM
na they can just find a new sponsor, almost all IM spamming will stop sicne aol is disabling chat rooms for all version below aol4.0 there are a few people who can still spam there after since they have figured out the 4.0 login encryption but i bet if webmasters had these tools back when sponsors first started out you would be a multi millionare by now.

Jester,<br /><br />I am just stating fact.. so you are enjoying these spam emails you are getting? I think not, otherwise you wouldn't be bitching here about it. You have 2 options, dump AOL, or contact the the owner of the dialer company about the abuse.<br /><br />What do you think we are going to do about it? Feel sorry for you? I don't think that is going to happen here. Maybe you can get some moral support at: <a href="http://www.aolsucks.org/" target="_blank">http://www.aolsucks.org/</a><br /><br />Hope that helps, sorry this board doesn't have a place to type in a keyword; "how to stop spam."
