German sponsor needs help regarding international checks

Hi,

i was wondering if any non US sponsor company could tell me how they make out checks to their webmasters ?

Here in germany international checks require a 10-15$ check fee for the sender (!).

Its impossible to pass these costs over to the recipient like it is done with us bank checks http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif
That means the sponsor business woudlnt be profitable for me in this way.

I also asked someone from western union if its possible to get an US bank account from where i can send out checks...but i was told that i cant get an US bank account as german citizen http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

Really hope someone can help me out here !

I'm in the UK, i have a US$ bank account with my bank here, and i have a US$ account with Fleet in the states.

We wire all US webmasters direct from the US account, european webmasters have the choice either of a cheque drawn on our UK account, or our US account, depending on what their bank tells them will clear faster. European webmasters can also get a wire, but that costs about $35 from the UK account (not too sure how much from US account).

We get the best of both worlds, fast payment to US webmasters, and fast payments to European webmasters.

The best thing to do is to contact one of the big US banks and talk to them - maybe one with a branch in germany? Or, setup with someone who can process all your cheques and payments for you http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
