I was wanting to get a cobalt RAQ server. Does anyone know where you can buyone at a good price? Also, I have never tryed hosting. What all is involed in setting it up and what other hardware do you need? Also does anyone have any good co-locate ideals? Yeah these are stupid questions but I really want to get me a dedicated server. And cobalt seems great!
TIA,
Shane

Has anyone used these guys??
http://www.www-hosting.net/hosting.htm
that just seems CHEAP!
i bought my Raq4 from http://www.Cobalt.com.
they are easy to admin, easy to set up.. not so bad to secure. and with enough hardware, they can handle a sizable chunck of traffic.
I use Interaid.com there great people and fast as hell...

If you don't know anything about setting up servers, maybe you'll go nuts with this people, since they charge one hour of support as high as one month of the server! Still it looks like an incredibily good deal. But read again: incredible . Just my advice: you always get what you pay for
better just type that url in, UBB seems to consider the period after the .com as part of the url http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
BTW, if you buy your own cobalt and co-locate. It's usually cheaper in the long run. Has been for me anyway!
www-hosting.net's prices are cheap cause they buy bandwidth from Sprint, in alberta http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif which, incase you didn't know is in canada.. good exchange on the $1
