The taliban had time enough to hand over Bin laden and El Queda. Almost 4 whole weeks, and they didnt do anything to do this.

Lets just hope Afghanistan doesn't have any working nuclear weapons, i read in the news that in 80's USA and Russia were both developing suitcase nuclear bombs which are equal to 2000 pounds of TNT, and when in the 1990's the political situation changed in Russia, hundreds of these suitcase bombs mysteriously disappeared. If bin Laden bought them, then God knows what will happen :(

well... you surely donīt have to but.. you know.. it would really piss me off if the taliban fuckers incl. bin laden and the whole terrorists would get away without paying for 6000 dead americans!! a very close friend of mine worked at the WTC on sep 11th but he survived because he had the luck to work at the 34th floor instead of the 100th. he could have been dead. Thank god heīs not

i have got a good friend in the military navy wich was called for duty last week. he was told to go for a excersise. but his ship left for the middle-east.

the U.S. had allocated (essentially donated) ~$350M for humanitarian aid for the afghan citizens.
and the publicized attack just started. many people probably don't even know it's going on yet. give it time.

He encourage all Muslims all over the world, should take this as a personal offense against their religon, and fight back on the USA and allies.

I can't watch CNN here, so I just watch the Danish national television, they didn't mention anything about the tape was made long before, but I'm positive that you're right.

i wonder why you're all so sure that the u.s. will take care not to kill civilians. there is always radically large numbers of our own troops killed by our own ("friendly fire") every time we fight.
i also wonder why we're sure bin laden is even really still IN afghanistan... the man has a zillion dollars and contacts all over the planet.
and by the way, people in a holy war will die to win - which gives any of them an advantage because a suicide mission, like the one in new york, can't really be planned against and in one on one, they can all boobytrap themselves. after all, they're 100% sure they're going to their version of heaven when they die taking the bad guys (to them that's us) out.
it means they could use nuclear weapons on parts of their OWN country if we're there. it means they could send hundreds of planes aiming at ours to hit them - because their pilots are quite willing to die. ours are not. if they go all the way, they can do us unbelievable damage.
how do you fight against thousands of people that are ready to die in order to take a few of us out at a time?
and why aren't we at least bombing them from a safe height? why are we sending in ground troups who can be killed when we say we know where the terrorist bases and military are? why not bomb them from the air, leaving all our foot troops to continue to live?

Bin Laden IS in Afghanistan.
The NSA, CIA and others have tracked him there, and you can be sure, that no one has a slight chance of leaving that country, without the us government knowing. Especially not Bin Laden.

Basschick the reason that ground trops must go in is becuase of the terrain. It is very mountainous. Air strikes have little if an effect on most of the terrain thier. That is what makes this war so dangerous. If I recall correctly Russia said that they too heavy losses when they attacked them at on time in the past. I hope we do not share the same punishment. God speed to all Allies who are in this battle.
