I'm looking for a registrar that:

-charges below $15 per domain
-registers .com, .be, .nl, .fr,...-domains (in other words: all domains)
-allows to be paid by money/bank transfer and/or money/bank deposit (no cc)

Because of the last criterium preferably a European or -even better- a Belgium one.

If the registrar meets all 3 criteria, you may post your ref-url (if they provide one) as I won't consider it spam then. :D

PS: Forgive me for this question, but what happens to a domain-name if the registrar that you got it from goes bankrupt?

Most country top level domains such as .be .nl .fr etc, has to be registered through their national registrars.

Many of them have certain rules such as it has to be a business, entity or individuals, which is actually based in that particular country to use their TLD.

There are a few countries, particularly small islands or eastern European countries which will allow anybody to register anything since their primary target is usually making money and not erm "national pride".

So, I don't think you'll find any registrar which can do all that.

There are however one which is cheapest I've seen so far, although I haven't used them yet, but going to in the near future.

US$8.95 per year (http://www.godaddy.com/)

GoDaddy.com is fantastic, and they let you register explicit domains.

I have 3 domain names thru them, easy, no problems, FAST!

One of them I bought was a www.fuck***.com (http://www.fuck***.com) domain.

Can't release the name YET, but will. :D

ok, here you go http://speednames.com/
you can register even .mw (Malawi), .sh (Saint Helena), .tt (Trinidad & Tobago / $1199 per year  ) etc. etc. etc.
There are just 2 limits:
1. your pocket (they charge between 10 to 1000 times more than local registrars do)
2. "local presence rule"; at least 30 per cent of TLD require local citizenship (presence at least) (f.i. .fr .es & others)
That link is useful esp. for checking multiple domains, local rules.

Well, if you want me to register .com .net .org .de .co.uk .be .nl or any asian one (.co.th) for you, I will do it (hope, they do not lose their national pride ! :D

Heh, these people are charging way too much.

For co.th for instance, if you go directly to thnic.net, they'll charge US$28 per year.

.ac charges only US$100 per year at nic.ac while these people charge US$ 160.

All they do is going to the same sites I mentioned above and submits the domain registration requiest manually with the info you provides them.

Almost all the national TLDs do not allow other registrars, so all registrars which provides registration to these names will have to go through the national registrars.

Oh, and how would you be able to register co.th domain?

There's in fact a lot more rules and regulations concerning the co.th domains than just simply beeing a Thai resident.

I was joking because of your post. I do not know a single european country which "sold" its TLD (ok, forget those british islands).
There is not national pride involved, it is a regular business; exemption = American Samoa (.as) ~ they sold it but still do not allow any dirty / delicate words.
Yes, they are ridiculously expensive.
I always type in www.nic.TLD (http://www.nic.TLD) to estimate "regular" prices, it usually works for me.

Toker,
I tell you about .gov, you tell me about .edu ~ esp. looking for schoolporn.edu
:D
Howgh.
