I see so many people bitching everyday about the fact that sales are dropping like a rock because of all the free content that is out there. If it's so bad why does nobody seem to be doing anything about it?

I know it's mostly from fear that they will be the only ones and they will loose all their traffic to the places that still offer the free shit. That wouldn't be a problem if many of us agreed to change and actually did it!

The surfers will always Want/Take as much as they can get for free. If I could get free food at the grocery store I would take as much as I can get too!

Nothing else in this world is free why should porn be free? People want sex and are willing to pay for it! Before the internet came along no porn was free. You had to buy your magazines or go down to the adult store for a video. I'm sure the internet has put a lot of those places out of buisness and now seems to be putting itself out of business as each day 1000's of adult webmaster put up more free content in hopes of making a sale. :confused:

Sorry but if I want someone to buy my bag of chips I don't give them a case for free!

You are absolutely right! Free is for shit you can't give away! Or if your business is suufering you might give a "buy one get one free" promotion. But no other business is offering free shit. That is what a tour is for, try it out, see if you like it, but you dont get it all until you pay for it. At the store you can try on clothes, but are not allowed to take the clothes out of the store to see how it will look at the club!

I agree, down with free porn so we can all make more money!

Some are, I decided about a year ago that I wouldn't build any freesites, TGP galleries, or Tours that have hardcore pics. Now it does take a little more effort to create something that doesn't use hardcore pics, but still attracks the traffic. However, I'm hear to report that my income this year is much higher than any before...

The only place sex sells is at a paysite.

Freesites, TGP galleries, Tours, etc...either sell "foreplay" or give sex away for free! If they sell foreplay, the surfer gets all hot and excited...BAM the paysite closes the deal, but if your selling sex from a freesite, why should I join a paysite, when I can get it all for free? ;)

shianna, there is already a movement towards reducing the amount of free content out there. check out tgp2, at say, http://www.tgp2board.com/ for instance.

This guy doesn't want to covert unless this other guy does and he wont convert unless this guy does. It goes on and on in circles and everyone is waiting for the next guy to make the first move. Then I see people bithcing about how low the traffic is in tgp2 I wonder why that is?

I am very proud of the few big guys who have taken the first step they are what's keeping tgp2 alive. Now if only the rest would stop bitching and take action!

I tell you what if you pay the costs of my content and time i will be glad to build gallerys and sites the way you think they should be made. Right now its ass backwards to offer less and expect to make more when you competetors will give it all for nothing.

You talk about free shit AT&T, Sprint are always calling me offering me free dinners, free long distance and at one point $50 cash which i took just to switch my service over. Now you cant tell me no one gives away free shit to promote their service.

You can take the same factor as Small TGPs Vs The Hun sure hun can afford to give away more then a smaller site. With telcos not all the smaller guys can afford to give me $50 for switching to their service. AOL can afford to give away bandwidth like it grows on trees but any small ISP could go out of business giving everyone 1000 hours of free bandwidth.

Then again look at terra who gives FREE bannerless hosting how many adult hosts can afford that and i you cant say sponsors who let you use their hosting because its not totally free...

If you make a gallery with 15 images and the surfer likes those images they will spend to get more eventually. Sure they may get off today for free but in time 15 images wont be enuff and the surfer may want to try live chat or download some 30 full length videos.

Just because i see a new outfit in the store does not mean i have $100 in my pocket to buy it at that very moment but if i like it i will be back. Since most are trading traffic you also must factor they might not spend on your site but they might spend it all on the next guys site so i guess we should do away with traffic trading also.

TGP2 well if it was so great i havent heard of anyone breakin the bank with profits from it. It may convert slightly better but then again how many have tried TGP and TGP2 with same exact surfers, layout and sponsors to really compair which works better.

Best way to make with TGP i think is to not use same sponsors as your trades use and dont accept gallerys that promote the same sponsors or dialers. In my view its just like CJ vs TGP and there are guys who have no content makin cash too ya know.

Now you can try to argue your case again but no way of doing business works exactly the same for everyone.. :)
