i aske about advertising on this board a year ago and i was told "this is a clean board we dont want advertising" how ironic........

while i'm sure it doesn't cost 10k a month to run the site it was kind-of odd that it didn't have advertising for so long. if they'd do away with the flash ads or allow us to opt-out of them, i'd be pretty happy, but eh.. what's a webmaster to do.

jesus christ! What is the big deal with the banner? who gives a fuck if there is one banner at the top of the site, this about the 5th topic I've seen complaining about the advertising, if you dont like it, don't fucking looking at it!

It's just one banner.. give Tim some support, he has provide a great resource to webmasters for long time.

Or maybe just a hobby for some, but I think it's great to see Tim make some bank for his work. For those that don't like it, GFY....oh wait it has advertising as well... ;)

I love advertising. And banners are just banners, they aren't a pop-up hell or some activex stuff. If you work like a mofo for years to build a site, you deserve to make some money off it, or at least pay the costs (server + time). And if people wanna advertise at it, that's good.

They have built up a great board here. There is nothing wrong with the banners being added, and actually I think they are good for new companies trying to get their name out(without spamming in the wrong sections).

Tim can do whatever he wants.. he has been a great service too many of the oldschool guys..Been here almost 3 years and its still home to me.. Newbies dont complain or go somewhere else..

I will definately take a spot here ..I hope you make on all the bandwith you lost over the years.

I think its a hell of alot better then most other boards you visit however i just wish they werent dialer ads of all things.. ;)

How can you bitch even CNN.com has more advertising then AWI and but i think Tim should have put ads ages ago.
