I would expect to pay around 50/mo. hosting when you start... if you want to make money, be ready to work a lot, you get out of it what you put into it!

get a own domain for 15 $ per year from direct nic and store your sites on freehosts so you see how much your sites will convert and you dont risk more than 15 $

Not always does using a free host mean more money or you save money. Free hosts have a downside as you could make less revenue using one. I think free hosts are good to build traffic for your pay hosted sites. I personally use free and pay hosts and throw the traffic where i can make te most from it. I think free hosts are good for gallerys sample pages and AVS then pay host for member CJ and TGP.
