I need to install more memory in my PC.

Can someone tell me the differnece between SIMM and DIMM and can I use DIMM instead of SIMM?

My machine has SIMMs in it and I wondering if I can use DIMM. DIMM is alot cheeper, run faster.

Louane

Simms are an older type of memory that are not used in new computers anymore. That's why it's expensive. In fact Dimms are becoming obsolete and being replaced with DDR Dimms.

It's probaly best to replace your mother board than invest in new SIMMS.

--Gel

Many motherboards have both types of slots, if you have empty RAM slots that are longer than the SIMM slots then you can use DIMM's.
