Hi there,

I've just installed CJPro on my site, but I'm a "litle" lost.

First, I have signed up to trade traffic with another CJPro site. But what
do i link back to? Just his URL? I thougt it would be handled automatic in
the cjproout.cgi script?

When I check the stats at his site, he has given me 12 hits, and i've given
him 4 hits (linking directly to him, because i didn't now how else to do
it). Great for me for unfair for him.

When I check my cjproadmin.cgi's referring logs, there isn't a single hit
specified from him. Only a bunch of auxout hits...but this count every time
I get a hit from everywhere. Anyone know how this can be?

I really need to get these thing explained like I'm a 12 year old, because
I'm quite confused right now http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

The only thing i'm almost sure of, is when a person sign's up at my site for
traffic trade, then it's all automated in the cjproout.cgi script, right?

Another problem is index.cgi. I would really like not to replace the
existing index-page. I can call any script by using SSI, but if I can't
"include" index.cgi in my existing index page, what script do I call?

I have read the FAQ and looked at others sites, but to little avail.

Any help on how to get started is greatly appreciated!

Not likely, freap...that board appears dead.

I hate to say anything discouraging, without an alternative solution..but there doesn't seem to be one at the moment..as bonzai has "dissapeared".

the situation might clear itself up in minutes/days/hours sorta thing.

Your questions are a bit outta might reach at the moment, as I just installed it myself.

I'm very familiar with Perl though..and unless one of the wizards has a better solution..I think you're going to have to use that index.cgi page, if you want the people to just be able to send hits to your root...otherwise, they will have to use that long complicate return link.

This help, even a little?

If his site is counting your hits, however small, then you've got the linking codes right. You get the url to link to on the page you get after you submit the signup form.

Thanks all, I think you've pushed me in the right direction http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Badgurl: You're right, the board seems kind of dead. That's why i posted here, where there, to me, seems to be a bunch og helpfull people http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif
This is where i am now with CJPro.
(I write this as i have exprienced it, so some of you maybe also can get som use og this "huge" posting.)

First, i droped the index.cgi file. I read on the installation page, that banzai recommended this feature to bo of, for now.
I must have overlooked this the when i read the documentation. Oups.

Okay, then i got the point of cjproin.cgi.
People who has signed up for traffic trade on my page, I'll just have to give dem the link http://mydomain.tld/cjpro/cjproin.cgi?TRADEPARTNER.TLD - Then the hits are nicely counted, and i can se where they're comming from, most impotantly.

But what if I sign up for a trade on another site? Well, i can't find any other solution, than linking directly to the URL given when signing up.

But the linkback adresse I give the tradepartner, will then be http://mydomain.tld/cjpro/cjproin.cgi?TRADEPARTNER.TLD
Then i should be able to se where the hits are comming from, on my CJPro admin page.
But for me this dosen't happens.
Try to read this short thread:
http://www.adultpornnews.com/ubb/Forum14/HTML/000063.html

Banzai says this should work. Again, it dosen't work for me.
But, try to read Abbadon's tip.

If I do this, then the hits are counted, and I'm happy http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/wink.gif

But I don't know if there is a drawback, with signing up the URL on my own webmaster page, that i've gotten when signing up on another tradepartner?
Another great thing with this "trick" i just come to think of, is that I don't even have to linkback directly anymore. Then I'll just let the cjproout.cgi handle it.

Well, that's where I am now. Please do tell me, if I am wrong and if this is against the rules.
Thanks.
