As I've stated several times earlier I've just begun this CJ stuff. I have CJpro.. Is it good? It seems that I have not fully mastered it. Example : Some site is sending hits in but I'm not sending out to him. Then there's someone who hasn't sent any in, but I send to him. How do I change that?
Is this easier in *******? Should I take a chance and change it? Or is CJpro sufficient?
Please Let me know.
Thanks.

This has been talked about so many times, get Cj^ultra, the free version can do soo much, skimming, toplist and so much more! Cjpro just can't handle the bizkit :)

Oh,
I didn't know that this was been discussed earlier. Been in the CJ biz for umm.. 2 days or something.
Why is the word censored?
Can I use more than 1 copy of the script in the same CGI-bin directory? Or if I need 2 scripts do I have to use one of each?
Thanks.
Sorry bout the spam.
It is a php script so you dont need cgi-bin. You do need mysql database. If you want to run 2 scripts on same server, get 2 database else the tables will clash. It is so good I keep wondering why its free.

Hmmm,
Lets assume this :
I (try) to run a CJ-site with no content (Currently using CJpro)
Then I'm starting a TGP2 site and haven't decided what script(s) to use.
Should I keep the CJpro with the CJ site, and then take CJ*ultra for the TGP2 site, or vice versa?
Still wondering why the name of the 'competitor' to CJpro is censored. :p
Thanks a lot. I will be spamming this bbs for years to come, very nice invention these BBS's! :)
cj u l t r a is the answer on your problem.

Run Cj*ultra for all your trading needs... it is fucking great, in action on http://wildztgp.com and http://randycelebs.com a Tgp2 and CJ site (and thousands more), will be adding a second CJ site very soon and can you guess what trade script I will use :) This is quality shit! Just make sure you have different database names and ya set!! Don't use Cjpro :p

godfather i can recommend you to use cj Ul Tr a when u need skimming + toplist stuff.. if not.. you can surely use cjpro which lets your trades check their stats cjpro gives them.. its not tooo bad.

I'm convinced,
So I change to CJ_ULTRA.
What about my current trades? Should I just let the webmasters know to change the referring URL?
I can 'easily' use 2 copies of C_J-ultra?
I've never used PHP nor MYsql, is it easy to set up?
:D Thanks a lot for help :D

why do u want to run 2 versions? and yes it is easy to install when you enter valid mysql data

No I don't use cron. I don't actually know how it works. I think CJpro ain't very good, hence I've about to change.
Why I want 2.
I'm about to use cj-site AND a tgp2 site with different referrals, so I need 2 versions.. right? I could use CJpro with the cj-trade, but I think there's not enough options. I've heard ultra is better.
I want traffic, I want to make fair trades, and I don't seem to be able to do them with CJpro.

It's free because he makes bank on the traffic he gets from it, as he should. I too am impressed with it, and am damn glad it's "free."

it takes 1% right?
Cyber-Fantasy
10-29-2001, 12:19 AM
technically he takes 1.6%
(i.e) a certain second of every minute
also...for all of you guys raving about it
every take a look at the code...its very messy
and probaly at high hit numbers it will really tax a server
He reads in a text file, with 24 hours worth of ips, on EVERY IN HIT. just for example
come back and tell im all fucked up tell me your site is running 100k with it...i dont care....look at the code yourself and judge
there are reasons things are free

I am not sure but I think it can do at least 40k. I thought it took 3% though.

The script uses too much resource and mysql query is not optimized

Last I looked it was 1.6%, but if he's changed it since to take 2 seconds of every minute, that would be 3.2%, but I think that would be a bit far off his claim of "about 1%", so it's probably still just one second.
And Subog, I totally agree.. It's a good script for low traffic, but it's really poorly written and it won't stand up to high load. Tim's stuff is still the king, IMO.
Cheers,
Backov

To those who have been patiently awaiting our website:
It's been a week and a half since we cut a deal with a company that calls themselves a 'host', and our server space is still not set up. We will be firing them shortly if they don't get their shit together a.s.a.p.
Nonetheless we will have it up eventually, and we are exited about it. The site is finished, and there is lots of great info on it.
