exitmoney.com is based in Canada and don't report anything to US or other countries authorities. As a webmaster you will have to take care yourself of the money earned with us and report it to your state/federal authorities as due.

Don't even think about not reporting your income to the IRS.
That's one of the stupidest things you can do.

they hit you with a penalty. Just make sure that you contact them first and get an extention or they'll penalize you a lot.
I never had any sponsors reporting anything to the IRS yet :D

Due,
a lot of them do , almost all the US based sponsors have to do it. I am not sure why not everybody does it, I think some of them just close their eyes on it but that is the law you have to fill the W9 form for the IRS. Either you fill the W9 tax form or they fill it for you from their database, but they have to report to the IRS.
I advise everybody to consult an accountant on that or somebody knowing much better the US fiscal laws as what I write here is my own opinion from what we heard and read as we are not an us corporation.

Same here with dialerace.com
I even asked our accountant and he said I don't have to report canadian webmasters either. It's their own duty to do that since their some sort of freelance employees.
Have you ever heard of that Octav?

That should be nearly impossible since it is only very few of my sponsors that got my company registration number :)

Well lets put it this way.. anything over $600 per each sponsor you have to report to the IRS simple as that.
if you get 1099 forms IRS gets the same thing and they will audit you if you dont pay them....

ace, I believe you are wrong..
I think we don't have to declare anything until they reach a minimum... until then we have to... I think it's like 25K or something, remmember my accountant telling me something like that... might be for Taxes though...

In the US you have to report someone if they make over $2,000/year. I am sure canada has a similiar law.

most sponsors do report your earnings to the irs. of the ones that don't (and ccbill doesn't) remember this:
your BANK reports your annual deposit total to the irs. also if things look fishy enough, the irs can add the total you paid for rent and any other expenses you used a check or credit card to incur.
in the u.s. i believe it is a $3000 annual minimum to have to file. each sponsor must legally report your earnings if they are $600 for the year or over.
got a question.. i heart guys got w9 forms form igallery and they were not located in the US. why do they send them / need they to be answered?

I got a W9 form from iGallery in the mail today. I am in Australia.
Looks like they just did a mass mailing to everyone on their books. I am not going to bother doing anything about it. Only made a whopping $1.20 with them anyway.
I need to get Form 6166 so i would not have to pay something like 30% of the cost of my hosting. The hosting company says i should contact IRS.
anyone know more about what i need to do?
thanks

run, the irs only collects money from u.s. residents earning money.
as far as how to deduct your hosting, it goes under business expenses. just itemize it on your worksheet and it is 100% deductable.
