that was a pain in the ass this morning. had no idea why my buddy list wasn't showing up. guess aim changed the login process or something. can't see any differences in trillian though.

In short, AOL is trying to stop trillian.

AOL can try all they like. Trillian had the fix and put the upgrade on their site (http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/)
just twenty minutes after AOL tried to block them out.

AOL trying to flex their muscles is a joke. This is not the first time AOL
has tried this on Trillian.

they can only keep bugging trillian users till they get so angry because of daily updates so they decide to go back to aim...

i can understand they wan to stop them, they loose all advertising money this way, and actually only pay the bills...

Hmm no. More like AOL against Trillian.
They are stealing bandwidth(I'm sure it must take just a little bandwidth to keep 100.000 users connected) and advertising money.
You could compare it to hotlinking. You steal other peoples work without giving credit for the bandwidth used and showing the advertising
