Image program.. massive resize and compress

I need a program that can resize images to my needs, it has to resize images against a set of rules because it will have to do horizontal and vertical images at the same time... if you get what I mean. Whats your BEST batch/mass image resize program :)

I use Thumbnailer for that. www.smalleranimals.com (http://www.smalleranimals.com)

I just record an action in Photoshop.

Since it supports bicubic resize, the thumbs might be a bit more good looking, although I am aware that bicubic matter more when upsize than downsize of pics. But it's still better algorithm than bilinear, which is used by most resize utils.

As an added bonus, I usually also use a slight unsharp filter on the thumbs. I find that most sharpen filters on other programs either sharpens too much or too little since you usually can't control how much sharpen to apply with them.

You can also of course apply any other Photoshop filters, such as glow, border or whatever.
