Should we open an IRC - AWI chat channel?

Any of you guys think that would be a good idea? For all the IRC users that is I think it would be great and it would also save some bandwith for Tim ;o)

I don't suggest to put up a java applet to login and chat those just suck ass using IRC is 1000 times better, and having a chan means faster answers and better communication between webmasters and friends.

So what do you all think?

We already tried that including a Java version connecting to dalnet channel so they had both options and it was a waste of time. Maybe its worth another shot if you want to try i will go if its dalnet though. :)

But if they dont already have mIRC or some other IRC client they prob think AOL chat is their God and they wont use it anyway.

but IF it can/will be established PLEASE make it on Dalnet cause I dont wanna run 3 IRC clients at the same time..

wow that is some seriously good feedback, well ok I will give it a shot but I don't know if Tim would want me to open a chan under his site name so I will create a new name for the channel. One thing we will need is AOPs in there so once it's open we will decide that I guess, btw Dalnet is perfect because we have to worry alot less about takeovers than other servers such as Dalnet.

I will keep you updated on the chan im working on it right now.

Well use a server just like those other webmaster resource sites do like PLR radio and so on.. those seem to work well..

Bah I guess dalnet is more friendly to everyone and that seems to be what people are requesting so we already set up the chan in dalnet #adultweb

um bradaman thats the server your connecting to.. I have no control over that dude.. lol
try another dalnet server.. that one doesnt seem to let you connect simply because there are already too many people connected trough it...

Use irc.dal.net to get a random server which has open spots and best to use ports 6666-6669 with dalnets servers as some dont use what others do so you cover most all ranges.
