Is it acceptable to compress recips to save some bandwidth or is that just taboo? Any experience? Thanks.

For instance, I always compress recips of my TGPs to have the best compression and quality ratio. I really know how to compress one or another button/banner so it will save bandwith and will still look good.

So i don't recommend compressing of my recips.

SpyCam if your recips are not to big then most likely no one will compress them but some tgp recips are 18 to 25k when they would look the same if compressed to 6k

What is the cutoff point for when it is acceptable to compress a recip?

yes, I noticed that some TGP owners don't know how to make recips and/or how to compress them

when a TGP has large recip buttons, or perhaps ones that could look better, try creating your own for that TGP. Even better, make some nice ones, and offer them to the TGP. Nice way to introduce yourself. My girlfriend made some animated gifs for a big TGP, the guy was really very happy to get them.
