View Full Version : What to do ? ;-)
I've been reading a bunch of resources and talked with a few guys, but i still ask the same question and no-one seems to answer it with something 'really' usefull.
Q: If i have e.g. $500.000USD and want to start a profitable paysite, is that possible, and how do i do it best?
Is it not worth the time/money(?), or is there still a chance to become successfull with a paysite.
A: ?
I know its kinda newbie, but what the heck, maybe its a hotshot and not just another post from me http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Most definetly - I've seen you around for quite a while, but I personally would hvae much of your content shot yourself. I am just starting to do it & its amazing at what it will do for your member retention rate. Along with a top notch professional design and steady frequent updates.
But out side of that and hosting I feel that your cc processing is super important. As theirs not a 'good' third party processor around. It takes a lot more of adminisration, but I would look into getting a merchant account. Possibly with jetbill or someone like that. I mean for me, had almost $5k in denials on initial signups and rebills between two different third party processors a few months ago. It's lightened up now, but I figured with that kind of money I could bring someone on board to help with the billing.
It sucked cause many of the people that were denied had been with me for several months & when their card was denied they got removed from my database. And then many of them shooting me e-mails asking me whats up & there was realy nothing I could do, cause I could'nt bill their card. Its amazing at how quick the third party processors will add a card number into the negative database...
Best of luck http://adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you're talking $1/2 million USD, then the answer is yes, you can get started and do quite well in the paysite business. I'd agree with Shannon exclusive content is the way to go, with so much competition having exclusive content makes you stand out among the many me too sites.
You might get in touch with Mark at http://www.lumyr.com as he can help you with a business plan for that size business.

hi. if you're serious about a paysite, there are a few niches that aren't being well covered. if you do general hardcore or teen, imo you're going into a saturated market. if you go into a strong niche, and hit it hard, you could do very well... never forget print advertising.
almost all the big boob sites have TERRIBLE front ends. a good front end could do well. a "bear" - hairy man - site would be great. at this time, there's only one and everyone has seen it, so i don't sell it as well as one no one had seen.
the shemale sites out there are none too good - we made a front end once that sold like crazy, but the only really great selling sponsor out there doesn't pay people without getting nagged!

I have had great success with nurse content and nurse AVS sites
it is an untapped niche
with no paysite for it
i have some great domain names if you swing that way
