only heard of directnic so far, are they fast and reliable?

Directnic are best ones. You get great service with only $15 per year. They are the most used ones, I think. Go with them.

I have several domains with DirectNic

The only problem I have is when you move a domain from their freehosting to a paid host your site goes down for no less then 24 while they update with Networksolutions

Any traffic aimed at your domain between the time you request they update their records and the time the update trickles across the routing hosts will be directed toward a DirectNic 404 page.

No biggy. I just wasnt expecting that since I've never seen that happen before

it shouldn't happen....

as long as you have a page up o both server, the transfer is supposed to be seemingless... it was for some domains I moved... but I never had business with freehost...
