Geez that offer is almost too good :) It is The best one I have seen for bandwidth (I would still have to register 3 domains (I know that will cost extra ~ (I do have a couple of other sites in mind not on the web yet. They will be for business while the lust will be my baby(first website ~ emotional attached) LOL !
I am skeptical though :( If any other webmasters are reading this posting ~Please take a sec & put in your 2 cents worth.
I would really appreciate the advice :)
Thanks

Are those prices right???
Doesn't price per gig generally get cheaper with the more bandwidth you use????

I wouldn't use them simply because their website looks like it was made by a 10 year old :(

how is 100GB Account $299.95 a month almost too good? it is far more than i've seen anyone charge in ages.
also at their site i see
$500 1 Mbps 250 GB
isn't a 1mbps line 320 gig? and is $2 a gig REALLY that great a deal?

Okay, I honestly don't want to slam anyone's company here, but check to see if I'm wrong...
Under the 3 virtual plans listed at http://webhostingasap.com/hosting-plans.html you are charged 5 cents, 3 cents, or 2 cents per extra MB of bandwidth over your allotted amount. Well, if there are (approx.) 1000 MB in 1 GB, then depending on your virtual hosting plan you'd be paying either $50 per extra GB, $30 per extra GB, or $20 per extra GB!
And yes, as you purchase more of a product or service your dollar value increases, not decreases. That's the major incentive behind purchasing more of a product or service: get more for less.
Finally, twobitsgirl you are either very naive or a shill. I don't care if they do "offer a lot," those prices are horrible. Sorry...

actually, it is $1 per gig for plan A, $1.20 per gig for plan B, and $3 per gig for the BIGGEST plan C. If they charge $1 per additional 1MB of space, plan A is 250 Megs, and plan C is 1 Gig, you save $750 per month only for that space :D !
If they really charge 5ˇ per 1 MB / about $50 per gig traffic overage, you have found out, WHY these plans are made that way.
Honestly, I think it is a trap.

Slam all you want, but my customers have been here for "years"!

I don't think anyone is slamming you, we are just questioning why you're pricing structure is the opposite of 99.9% of every other paid host out there.
Feel free to clear things up.

ooops sorry I am niave & a new webmaster ~ my site is my first website. I have only been on the web as a webmaster since the end of july 2001. So yes I am niave but not stupid. which is why I wait for all of the replies. i will be signing up with a host within the next couple of months. paying hopefully 6 months in advance. But I have to be able to trust them, that does not come lightly. I will stay with my free host first if I don't find any one.
I am extremely weary of too good to be true offers. thanks everyone

I wasn't slamming anyone. I merely pointed out your pricing structure and voiced my opinion of it, as people were asked by twobitsgirl to do. Big deal, I hate your prices. So what? Get over it. You don't know me, so why should you care? I didn't see you getting pissed off at the person who said your site looks like it was made by a 10 year old. Did you really think yelling at me would make me change my mind? I'm very glad that you have oodles o'happy customers. Congratulations!
RELAX! :D

Sorry for sounding pissed, bad day here. I really don't check the other hosts sites much, so what their rates are, I don't know. I don't sell web design, only hosting, so the pages need to load fast. Flash, etc. slows down page loads. I've have seen many hosts bite the dust since 94, and allot of people bought into the "unlimited bandwidth", which anyone should know is bogus, but some found out the hard way. The rates on my site are correct, they were lowered from what some thought were high, but then again, we are still here. Many are not.

thanks bandwidth
the 25 gig plan looks like a good deal~still changes into 40 can ~ but the overage cost are high at 0.05 mb that does work out to 50 a gig ~ooouch heaven forbid you exceed the bandwidth. I still have some time yet before I sign up with anyone. Have to make sure my site is pretty well finished first.
Regards
:)

twobitsgirl, it's a big risk to take. you can get bandwidth just a little more expensive other places, and if you go over, it won't ruin ya.

thanks Basschick ~
No it won't break me ( I just don't want to fork out from my regular job's paycheck"~ I am just have very cold feet~ The thing that drives me mad is I am scared.....I have jumped in with both feet so many times in my life & ended up losing an arm and a leg ~ Seriously~ this time I am being cautious ~I could be a fool for it though~ There are so many directories & tgp's out there that won't list any of my pages for the simple reason the pages are on a free host or they only list "certain free hosts" :-( Then to top it off ~ I can't post pics to the pic posts becuase of "hotlinking the free host" It doesn't matter that I am promoting a site which is on their hosting company! But I can understand their perspective. Tooo many Snakes out there~ which makes it really tough for an honest person.
When it comes to paid hosting it is the snakes that scare the "shit" out of me! I must admit Bandwidth's hosting company is a great deal providing you know you can stay within the gig transfer base you purchased:-) 25 gigs of transfer for 24.95 is a great deal. but if you run a gig over that is an extra $50.00 a gig!!!! Then there are other things to consider like "up time" heaven forbid the host goes down for more than 24 hours or just vanished!!!! Could you imagine the work changing all your links if your paid hosting company disappeared?" I don't want to worry about that! Which is why I have stayed with my free host so long ~ they have gone down offline etc but only for a couple hours & only 2 times in the last six months for a few hours. I think that is great. If you compare with other free hosts they are outstanding.
sorry I am rambling~ Only out of fear~

Please forgive my grammar or spelling errors ~ sometimes I think fast than I can type :(
But other times like today I have finished work at my regular job until Monday so I have had a few......Oooops
@twobitsgirl
There are a bunch of dependable paid hosts around, a search on this board will give you lots of info. I use isprime.com and 321host-it.com and they both have great support and service with very reasonable prices. I also have been hearing very good things about Datahosters.com. It is good to be wary of paid hosting, but there's no need to be afraid. ;)
