Great price I must say. What is the cost to get scsi drives on the server instead of ide?

What size hard drives would you like I know there is a huge difference in price between 18gb drives and 30gb ones? Basically it would just require a motherboard upgrade and the drive upgrades. We also have special cases available for abotu $100 more that allow hot swapping of scsi drives.

With most setups we let the operating system implement the raid. Both FreeBSD and Linux have excellent raid support at the sacrifice of about 1% of CPU during very heavy IO operations. Even the promise cards just do the setup, and actually have the drivers doing the raid operation. We do however have motherboards that have Promise controllers built into them if you prefer that route.

So this is software raid http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

We prefer using the 3Ware (http://www.3ware.com/) cards for IDE hardware RAID on Linux systems.

Do you have an ICQ # ?

They are custom build servers, with the highest quality hardward. Like Intel, IBM, etc. The cases and CPU fans are custom.
