FREE HOST - What you like - what you hate..

I'm starting a free host in couple of days and I would like to hear your comments what you guys like with a free host, what you guys hate and what would you like to have at a free host. And don't forget that it has to make money because someone has to pay for the bandwidth finally.

i hate free hosts that are so busy that my graphics don't load. that really sucks the big one!

no java or imagemaps on the pages, because then lots of tgp's won't list the galleries.

no blind thumbs or hints about girls being underage - tgp's won't list the galleries and then none of us make any $$$.

ftp is a BIG plus with me.

other than that, use good textlinks or banners instead of more. the cleaner the galleries look, the better!

Just one banner at the top of each page,not a big ass banner that takes up half the page.
No redirects,no pop ups,none of that shit.One banner or text link at the very top.
In the long run you will make money as bandwidth becomes a commodity that will be virtually free.What you want to do is to get as many webmasters as possible to sign up now ,if you are looking for quick cash and not a long term biz,do what the other dum ass's are doing.If you can not afford to do this you shouldn't be offering this service.Be smart get a jump start by doing something others are not doing ,fast servers,cgi-bin,do not do what the current dum ass's are doing!Set your biz apart from others,with so many shitty free host why would i want to use your service?Offer something different.

I have a Freehost and it is a big Responsibility First of all you need a Dedicated server with 5 meg line at the Least

Secound you need to have someone who knows the operstaing system and can fix anything that goes wrong right away

I use a lot of free host,most use to many hugh banners,blind thumbs,and are to slow.
I been deleted,way to many times to mention for stuff that I didn't do,hot linking is a big one.people hot link my pics and I get booted.I've been deleted for to little traffic and to much traffic.most free host get to greedy and clutter up the pages with crap then the hits go way down.can't get on the big tgp's with most of them.I use them mostly for tgp and toplist other than that it's tough to make a buck with most of them

Thanks for the replies, but I have really expected more comments on this topic.

The free host is hosted with Cyberwurx one of the best host on the net and the sites should load real fast.

I know the problem and I’m not going to use it because I want as much traffic as possible and there are other ways to make money too,

I won’t put even a counter on it because I think it just slows down everything

Also I’m planning just to use text links instead of banners or just maybe buttons.
Right now I’m just waiting for the damn script to be installed, already a week now!!
