Own Server? Hotlink? what the....

So I'm gettting a reciprocal button for a submission page, and it's telling me to "Serve the images from your own server, don't hotlink it from our server."
I right clicked it, brought up the secondary menu, and saved picture to my desktop.
Is that going to be off my server of theirs?

I save it, turn it into a hyperlink, and put it one an advertisment page. That's all I do to it.

Yes I use frontpage, and all I know about HTLM is what it stands for, nothing of it's meaning or importance. Thanks for the advise I'll get 'a crackin' on the subject.
