what genre is the most popular (anime, horror, disney, toon, hc...) and do this content really converts as good as sponsors say?

I only work with anime, and can't really comment on the others - although when I get more time, I'd like to try out some of the horrorsex/xxxspacegirls stuff because I think there might be some good crossover there. But anyway -

Like any niche, you'll find that you have a decidedly smaller audience than just marketing straight sex & teen content. Your surfers also have a better idea of exactly what they're looking for so they might seem a little harder to please. Once you can do that, though, it totally converts: I can do better than 1/400 on a CJ2 site, 1/200 on TGP galleries and better than 1/100 with AVS traffic.

Sponsors will say just about anything to get you to sign up for their programs. You'll just have to test out different programs and see how they work with what you're promoting. With anime, I'd stick with a sponsor that has JUST anime content. You're pretty much wasting your time trying to sell a mainstream sex site that happens to have a few galleries of hentai stuff. Although that tactic might play better when you're working with 'toons stuff, since that audience doesn't seem to be as specific.

Of course, I'm going to have to recommend http://www.hentaikiss.com because I'm involved with that site ;) It's 100% h-anime, retention is good, and it converts very well compared to similar sites.

Another sponsor I would highly recommend is http://fullhentaimovies.com . That site converts like MAD. A lot of the big name programs have their own H sites now... I know a lot of people use them, but I don't so I can't comment.

Don't be afraid to try sponsors that are a little off the beaten path - VirtuaGirl seems to play well, so do most asian oriented sites/email proggies, and like I mentioned above, I think XXXSpacegirls might be a good pairing.

Most sites either have free content for their webmasters to use or will get you some if you ask.
