problems with "/" at the end of the url

it was brought to my attention that the "/" at the end of the url can cause the url not to load in the browser,,, i am using IE6 and it automatically adds the "/" at the end of the url,,,even the root domain,,,,<br /><br />this is what it says in certain browsers,,, <br /><br />Link Description: <a href="http://boobsplex.com/xxxsalsa/xxxsalsa-12" target="_blank">http://boobsplex.com/xxxsalsa/xxxsalsa-12</a> <br />Document May Have Moved To A New Location. <br />New Location : <a href="http://boobsplex.com/xxxsalsa/xxxsalsa-12/" target="_blank">http://boobsplex.com/xxxsalsa/xxxsalsa-12/</a> <br /><br />does this sound familer?
