Their system is way different from a standard double confirmation via email.<br />In the message you receive, it says that you will start receiving spam, and only if you don't want it, then you click the link.<br />This way they get a lot of emails into the database, they also run checks on the activity of the people who subscribed. If you send them a certain number of subscribers and they dont convert for them, they will start shaving 90% of your traffic <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" /> and will probably close your account after all.
