Main ad top or bottom??

I have been thinking and instead of placing my main ad for my TGP galleries on the top I would move it to the bottom, because once a visitor has viewed all of the pictures there is nowhere to go except back. If I place the main ad on the bottom after viewing all the pics they are looking for a place to go.

When the ad is on the top the visitor only sees it when they first get to the page and probably ignore it as they are looking at the pictures instead. They then scroll down never to see the ad again.

Any ideas...have you guys tried this?

i have tested and kept track of my galleries for a couple years, and on my galleries, the bottom link is always the money link.

this got even more dramatic when free hosts started working their headers - tgp surfers almost totally ignore the tops now.

Well I am on a pay host so I don't have to worry about the free hosts header, but I always thought the bottom should do better.

Responding to The Badgurl, I am using both, but my larger link will be at the bottom. At the top I will have a short few word text link to my site, while the bottom I will have a quick sentence about why they should visit my site and an Enter Here text link.

I place text at top and banner at bottom
Top is always what ppl check fist . That enter in their mind . After they saw all the pics, they see the banner and if the text sounded good, they click on it .
