At least the school took the comment seriouisly, most schools wouldn't even after all these school shootings. It is unfortanate that the kid got fucked over he can move on, at least 13 people didn't have to die to find out he really did have problems.

I am sorry, but that is just fucked up. So whats next? If I happen to be driving down the street listening to a song about mary jane, are they going to arrest me for being the "type" of person that might smoke pot and then strap me to a chair and anal search me to death every time I get a visitor? What happended to being inocent before being proved guilty. Damn, if they start arresting everyone who is a potential suspect for something, then 90% of the country will be locked up and anal probed all day long. EVERYONE has the ability to kill others and who are we to start guessing who they are. The poor kid did nothing but get pissed off over some stupid dumb chick putting him on hold for 15 minutes and said the wrong thing. It wasn't even a threat. Geez, better make sure others don't like me to much and become very unsuccessful or I might winde up in jail. http://bbs.adultwebmasterinfo.com/ubb/frown.gif

I personally think that the police fucked this one up.
Something like this could easily lead to a lot of more damaging consequences. What if this kid who got arrested had a best friend that really did want to shoot up the school. This could easily trigger something like that. If they evaluated the situation a little better, I don't think they would've made such a rash decision. And I'm guessing they did this to make a statement. But I doubt they really got any point across. This just seems like something that's going to stir up more trouble than it should have.

I couldnt agree more QuiteMike
the times Ive been arrested this has accounted for most of the punishment its supposed to be innocent until proven guilty
but the gossiping village witches always say no smoke without fire .....
Unless your talking about an actual prison sentence rather than a fine or probation having police arrest you in public then try anthying they can thing of to charge you to justfiy the time theve wasted and the way this stigmitizes you in the eyes of collegues
friends family and local community sucks shit
Most of the punishment is delt out to people simply because they have been fingered not because theyve actualy done something.
As for this kid well thats exactly the type of thing I would have said 6 years ago

Damn!
I would sue the school and the state for that bullshit!
Man that is so much crap! His "threat" wasn't even on school grounds! That is such bullshit. It's as if the kid had no rights at all!
Oh man that poor kid's life got totally ruined. High schools really suck...I'm glad I'll never have to go repeat that nightmare again.

Yep, why dont we just expell all "well-groomed, gets good grades and is well liked" kids from school to be safe. Then we'd really have a country full of fucking retards.

hehe... i was talking to a friend of mine who has a kid in middle school. one of his friends died his hair blonde and the school expelled him. talk about whack. of course now he goes to a private school which is paid for by all the money they won from the state in court.
sux tho that the kid had to deal with such bullshit.

that is just stupid. I mean, why don't you expel 10-30% of the school after all, and get only the bad looking / F students DAMN!
