I used them a few years ago. Prices were dirt cheap, unlimited bandwidth, but my sites were down 3-4 days a week. And I got no reply as to why, or when they would start coming back in, so I moved. Don't you know this guy wanted to bill me for a few months AFTER I moved my sites!!! He said he didn't know I moved my domains, so I should pay. I told him it was easy to tell.... since they were loading in LOL

Unlimited hosts are not a good deal.

Well got any other suggestions for me. I don't need alot of bandwith or disk space just enough to run a avs site around 50-100 bucks is about all I want to spend

Great rates.. $2.00 a gig and thats it.. host as many domains as you want under one account.. so if you want to grow its no problem..

And the #1 reason i like them so much is that their tech support is the best i have ever seen! I have contacted them at 4am before and they were ready to help.

I host 5 sites with them.

To High Octane and others looking at United World Internet:
I happen to be the owner of UWI. Someone passed this url along for me to look at. High Octane, what domain name did we host for you? I don't remember you at all.
Let me say that someone shouldn't judge us by what someone says about a supposed event that happened a long time ago. It is true that we used to offer 'unlimited bandwidth' type accounts, and still do from time to time. We normally do it different than most other hosts in that we give individual dedicated lines of bandwidth. Further we've *never* had 3-4 days/week downtime, not even anywhere close. That's absurd. Our servers are kept up to date and usually go weeks or months between reboots. Downtime is rarely a problem with us, I can refer you to satisfied clients. Lastly, let me say that we do not bill people after they cancel, period. It has never happened (it would result in chargebacks and we could lose our merchant account over it). If we used to host you and we billed you on a recurring basis, it is simply because you didn't cancel the account. I'm guessing that if we did host High Octane, that he is a customer we let go due to abusing company policies and has a grudge on his shoulder.
If you want good prices, good support, and reliability, we can give it to you. Hogleg, feel free to email us for our most current plans which are cheaper, give larger lines of bandwidth, and larger disk space. To prove to you we are worth trying, I'll waive the setup fee for you.
