Clickthrough %'s

What kind of Click-Through %'s are you guys getting from banner placements? What is good, and what shuold be the min. that I should expect or else redesign the banner?

my click through percentage is horrible - maybe 1-5 clicks per 1000 visitors

the best type of banner is not your regular 468x60 one.. (i think tahts it, been so long lol)

use some weird sized ones and they will pull a lot better

According to my stats I got 1 click every 81 views ... 1.23% :D
I guess that's not that bad.

That's with a banner at the top of the page, 468*60, static, along with a text-link under the banner.

every banner should have a good text link under it ... a banner alone doesn't mean so much.

i get 2.5% of my visitors to click the banners

The reason viper gets such a good ratio seems to be the text link under... a 468x80 banner do not get enough clicks anymore... surfers know its ads and they dont want to see them... Luckily enough they are dumb... other shapes of ads have been click ratios... their eyes is not used yet to ignore them I guess.. ;)
