Hey...I was just wondering if there was a way to stop people from using bots to crawl my site, and extracting my email address from the html. I've been getting a steady flow of emails with viruses in them...It's not that big a deal, because I'm not about to try out the "Newest game" or look at "Snow white naked"; it's just irritating. Has anyone else had these problems?

why dont you remove your email address? .....or make it so that its something like this webmaster AT adulthaze.....then if people really want to contact you they will
or make a simple contact form using CGI

Everyone who posts his email address on his site does...
However, two ways to stop it:
1 - use a form to let visitors mail you
2 - post your email addres like "topxse at yahoo dot com"

^ that would not work. if browsers read it as blah@blah.com, so will the email program (especially if spamming through CGI formmails).
i would suggest encypting that one section of your html.

Theres another way actually you can use a click tracking script or redirection ect...
Anything that masks or hides the blah@blah.bleh would work. ;)

modern spam bots are smart enough to change AT to @, DOT to . and remove all spaces..
to be sure, i recommend using a mail form or something to get people to email you
yup, mail form is the way to go...
i would go with oiqhef ÁT pwjrg dot com
that way the webmasters for example that can contact you know who to mail...
